The Garmin Forerunner 210 is a high-end sports watch without the high-end price.  It is available for running enthusiasts of all skill levels.  Serious runners may wish to consider the foot pod that senses stride and the strap for a heart rate monitor that can be purchased as add-ons.   It is also waterproof, making it ideal for use in all types of weather and even sports activities that involve the use of water such as triathlons.

To me, the Garmin Forerunner 210 is a great sports watch for all types of runners and all types of skill levels because of the various features that it offers. The watch resembles a normal watch in its design and construction as well as weight, which makes it easy to use when involved in various sports activities. Unlike a lot of unisex gps watches, this one also fits a woman's wrist well and comfortably.

Furthermore, this watch is stuffed with features that are of benefit to many users with maybe the best one being how easy it is to operate. The setting up of the sports watch is relatively easy, but it also comes with a full user manual for when the user needs to consult it regarding more advanced features.

Pros:
  • Great for Runners of All Skill Levels
  • Inexpensive, Easy to Use, Good Battery Life
Cons:
  • Learning Curve with Charging Port

The watch has four buttons in total, used to control the various functions which include start or stop, menu or page, lap or reset, and for shutting it down or starting it up.

Among the sports watches offered by Garmin, the Forerunner 210 has excellent battery life, able to last for eight hours when it is set in GPS mode, the most common mode used when running. Furthermore, when the GPS is switched off, a lot of power is saved, and the battery can last for three weeks without being recharged. This feature of the watch makes it ideal for runners that cover longer distances than in normal track training.

The compact design of the Garmin Forerunner 210 is one of its appealing features as it feels nice and secure when worn on the wrist. Its dimensions compared to its predecessor are slightly slimmed down, but that does not hinder its operation, especially when training.

Most customers have nothing but positive remarks for the Garmin Forerunner 210, especially when it comes to the locating of satellite links, which it can do within only a few minutes. However, the USB port that is used to charge the watch and upload data is not easy to use as it requires a few attempts before it is hooked up well. The integral strap on the watch is part of its overall construction and cannot be replaced.

Inexpensive and easy to use, the Garmin Forerunner 210 is an ideal watch for most runners as it has a variety of features that cater for the needs of both beginners and experts.
